In my opinion, I don't consider the builder to be worth the money. If you are dissatisfied with anything, you will have to either live with the dissatisfaction, or pay significantly for what could have been avoided or addressed at the time of the purchase. There's horror stories about all the major builders in Calgary. Majority of them use prefab walls and the cheapest labor possible. Honestly find a place you like, in the price range you are comfortable and go for it.

Several months passed when I called Mattamy Warranty office to ask when they would fix the leaking in the basement wall they said to me that I had to be patient. Filled with parades, bronco rides, special events and music, the Stampede is truly an event unlike any other. Management lacking of any customer care. Leadership - absent to everything but the dollar figure. The odd super still onky cares about the closing and has the fix the problems later attitude. Based on what I've seen with Mattamy's, they really start to look worn down after a few years. Mattamy likes to use wood on their exteriors and from what I've seen in many homes built by them, it starts to rot.

Clean drywall mud off exterior wall caused during the construction of adjacent home. Replace defective exterior garage wall light. I have been the most dissatisfied client of Mattamy homes. Even my house framing has not started and there are bunch of liars in the whole Mattamy team right from the Top Management to the bottom most person.
My husband and I bought a house in Meridale Subdivision in Charlotte, NC . The sales person Rebecca Groom is not allowing us to make structural changes to the house The Parker. She said that it cannot be done, since we already sign the contract. We need to make small changes and refuses to help.

We were baited in and hit with a higher price less than 2 months from when we started the process. They would rather have us leave so they can con someone else into paying more for the house that we had already designed and wasted our time waiting. If we would have known this at the beginning, we would have been under contract and possibly construction with a more reputable builder. With the market the way it is, we lost valuable time while the builder who we thought we trusted pulled a bait and switch under the guise of "material increases". The Royal Oaks of old is no more- They have been consumed by a big box builder.
I have bought new houses from different builder. Mattamy is the Best by far, in term of quality, after sale service. I recently moved in the preserve in oakville. Mattamy used better quality material then others builder in the same area. My understanding is Mattamy hires builder to build their houses.
They do not overload you with homes and unrealistic quarterly numbers while also paying a great salary. Great company and management, very open environment. Home has been delayed 3 times in one month within the 90 day firm closing day notice. Their excuses there is not enough skilled trades workers. We choose Mattamy knowing the trade off that the house won't be perfect cosmetically, but we did save on the price so I can live with it. I'll make the repairs and changes to the way I want them.
There is no upside at Mattamy Homes Boynton Beach. The amount of nagging was unbelievable and extremely annoying. You will work with people who are clueless and unprofessional. Upper management will blame you for their poor choices until you just walk away from it all. In under12 months, all the support staff quit, be replaced, then the new ones quit because it truly is an unbearable place to work. We went today to an open house in a new building across ours.
The quality is so poor it makes you sick to your stomach. The list goes on and on over 60 items noted to ROC and they failed the directive. The quality of their materials and workmanship is very poor and the homes are overpriced considering they do not come with much and you have to upgrade most things that many builders include. I read a lot about Mattamy/Monarch about being a good builder. Personally, I wouldn't buy Mattamy homes in general. But if I knew who the site builder was and had a good relationship with that individual, I might re-consider if I really wanted the house. Get more reviews from your customers with Birdeye.
